Description

Enjoy the majestic scenery that surrounds Oatman, experience live gunfights, costumed dancers, and be greeted by our friendly wild burros. Oatman takes pride in keeping its town as authentic as possible, giving visitors a look back into history, showing the wild west as it really was.

The living ghost town and mining camp named for pioneer-turned-indian-captive Olive Oatman (illustrated at right).  Oatman was profiled in an article by famed Arizona travel writer Roger Naylor in the Arizona Republic in 2015.

Other things to do: Horseback rides are available from Oatman Stables from October through April.  Or, if you're going on the weekend and have an interest in geology and mining history, consider a stop at the Homestake Mine.
